Shoubra El-Kheima city:
It is one of the old villages. Its original name is " Shobra"
which is a Coptic word means heap or hill. Shoubra province was constructed
in 1871 was its capital. It became a city and west Shoubra EL- Kheimaand east Shoubra El- Kheima districts belong to it. Shoubra El-Kheima is considered a huge industrial area where are many factories for spinning and textiles , porcelain , glass , crystal , rubber , chemical and metallurgical industries paper , electrical equipment besides the huge electrical station which was constructed lately in enterance Shoubra El- Kheima.
And in Hosni Mubark age a huge oil refinery constructed there which is " Cairo company for oil refinery". More over , the underground project was opened which is considered a cultured title for Egypt.
The number of rural units is (2) which are west Shoubra District , and east Shoubra District.
