Shebeen El- Kanater:

It was called by pharaohs (Tie- Tahout) which means those who are in temple. In the age of King El- Nasr Ben Kaloon it became famous for the barrages constructed by the King by the Abo El-Manga sea in 736 A.H.
Shebeen was affiliated to Noah Province and 1912 it was moved Shebeen. Shebeen El-Kanater became the capital in 1913. From the most important monuments founds there are huge ruins , which were built according to a strange architectural style.
It consisted of high wall surrounded the place and sandy slope covered with thick layer of stone blocks remained from EL0Heksous age because the funeral tools existed there proved that the dead people not Egyptian , This area in known as Tal-EL-Yhoud.
The number of rural units is (7) which are ( Tahorya - Menshaat El Karaam - Kafer Shebeen - Tahanoop - Naoa - EL- Gaafra - El- Ahraaz)
The number of affiliated villages is ( 36) .
