The Most Important Religious Monuments in Qalyub City & Province
It was built in 670-672 hegry - El Zaher Bebers was know as brave and adventurous king. He had great victory over El- Magol in Aeen Galout . He was died in 676 A.H. His government period distinguished by great number of army and Architectural buildings in clouding this mosque. El_Shekh Awad built this mosque . He was a jadge In Qalub appointed sultan kaytbay. After his death the Shawarbias made a mausoleums in the mosque and took care of it since 13 A.H. - 19 AD The foundations board of the mosque is kept at one of El-Shawarbies called Zahar El-Shawarby. It's a dam Barrage on Abo El-Monga canal. El Afdal Shahenshah , the minister of El-Khalifa El-Fatemy built it to help in irrigation Delta lands in 506 A.H. - 1113 A.D. It was named after a jewish engineer called Abo El-Monga. It opens usually after the Nile flood in celebration attended by El Kholafaa (King). This mosque was built in 1818 A.D-1239 A.H. By El-Shawarbies . His minaret was made on Osmanic style. It was set up 1308 A.H. Plate since 227 A.H. It took this name because the virgin passed by it during her journey in Egypt.
