El- Kanater EL-Khairia:
El-Kanater El- Khairia was constructed in 61 A.H.. It is one o the most
important tourist attraction in the Republic. It is twenty - two kilometers
far from Cairo.In front of it branched el-ryah el-tawfeky and el- rayah el - mo ( two small canals) and the Nile divided into two branches Dommiatta and Rasheed.
El-Kanater includes a huge area of gardens and parks on governorate level estimated by 500 fedins by the Nile.
Its important attractions are:
El- Kanater El-Khairia and irrigation museum which includes irrigation means since the pharaohs until now.
It also has three- dimensional shapes for high dam , and all the bridges constructed over the Nile.
The city has an audio-visual show and an institute of hydraulic and mires researches , which is concerned with the researches and studies related to irrigation and draining.
The city has also research centers concerned with orchards , poultry , fish , and aromatic plants , orchard training center and the administration developing center which is concerned with enhancing the agriculture development projects.
The most important Industries are:
Plastic , clothes , bricks , soft drinks.
The number of rural units is four , which are ( El-Menra- Abo-El-Geet- Sandbees- Shalakan).
The affiliated villages are 17 villages.
