The Most Important Monumental places in Benha City & Province
Egyptologists assured that the history of this city begins with the forth pharaoh family established by king " Snefro" 2613 Bc. The present city of Benha was built on western part of ancient Atreeb which disappeared under the plants and modern building. All the remains are few parts above the ground on the shape of a hill called. Tal atreeb on eastern side of Benha. Also there are " hamamat atreeb" which are complete bathes designed not for washing only but they were used forum where people gather to discuss any thing they want. The bath consists of reception hall , changing room , sports hall and there are rooms for heating water. And pipes for draining cold and hot water. They were built red brickes coverd with layers of Lime sand and clay . the baths were exposed to weather factors such as wind , rain and change in temperature , which affected many of their parts. It is a coffin of lime stone found in Fareed Nada Street in Atreeb Benha. It is still in its place in good State. The coffin is surrounded by strap of Hyrografical writing almost damaged by weather Circumstances. The coffin called " bef thew amoon" OR " ta . am . ham . amoon". He was the supervisor of royal women and treasury chief. |
